Message Nodes
Message nodes send content to the contact during a flow. They are the most commonly used nodes.
Send Text
Sends a simple text message to the contact.
- Message — The text content (up to 1,098 characters).
- Formatting — Use the toolbar to apply Bold (*text*), Italic (_text_),
Strikethrough(~text~), orCode(```text```). - Variables — Click "Add variable" to insert dynamic placeholders like
{{contact.name}},{{contact.phone}}, etc.
Send Media
Sends an image, video, audio file, or document to the contact.
- Media Type — Select Image, Video, Audio, or Document.
- Upload — Click the upload zone to select a file (max 16 MB), or drag & drop a file onto it.
- Caption — Optional text that appears below the media (images and videos only).
Interactive Buttons
Sends a message with up to 3 reply buttons that the contact can tap. Each button can branch the flow in a different direction.
- Header Type — None, Text, Image, Video, or Document. Appears above the body.
- Body — The main message text (up to 1,024 characters).
- Footer — Optional small text below the body.
- Button Type — Reply Buttons (user taps to choose) or CTA URL Button (opens a link).
- Reply Buttons — Define 1–3 buttons. Each button creates a separate output port on the node, so you can connect different follow-up actions to each button.
Interactive List
Sends a message with a list menu that the contact can browse and select from.
- Body — The main message text.
- Button Text — The text on the list-open button (e.g., "View Options").
- Sections — Groups of list items. Each section has a title and rows (items with title, description, and optional ID).
Template
Sends a pre-approved WhatsApp message template. Templates must be created and approved in your WhatsApp Business Manager first.
- Template — Select from your synced templates.
- Variables — Map dynamic values to the template's variable placeholders.
Note: Templates are required for sending messages outside the 24-hour conversation window.
